Elementary Counseling Lessons
During the normal school week, I spend 30 minutes in grades k-12 working on socio-emotional skills and personal development. On this page I will share lessons for the week for different grades. I use books on video to engage students and complete discussion afterward with the kids. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Parent discussion: Many times unwanted behaviors occur when we aren’t allowed to talk about our emotions or are confused by what we are feeling. The video shows many emotions you students may feel and have difficulty explaining at times. Play this video and pause at the countdown to allow students to identify the emotion. To boost it up to the next level...think of multiple words that would apply: happy...excited...joyful...hyper.... and define the slight differences between the emotions.
