Who I Am |
I was born in northern North Dakota and completed middle/high school in Minnesota, so it seems fitting that I live near the border so I can enjoy both states :) I have worked with youth since college and I'm passionate about being a positive influence in the lives of students. My parents live and work in Bismarck and I have a brother who currently lives in Japan with his wife and is a Major in the Air Force. When I have some free time I love to travel, visit my friends and family, work on something crafty, and of course drink a good cup of coffee!

My History |
After completing a year as a Speech Pathology major, I decided it wasn't quite for me. Education seemed like a better fit, so I earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education emphasizing Specific Learning Disabilities and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. I taught Special Education and Gifted/Talented at Park Christian School in Moorhead. I earned my Masters in Counseling:School emphasis from UND and worked as a school counselor in Grant County Schools for two years before starting at the Southeast Region Career & Technology Center in Wahpeton to serve Lidgerwood K-12 and Wyndmere 7-12.
